Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart for Amman, Jordan

Day 2: Arrival- Amman

Arrival at Amman, Jordan meet with our guide, driver and then head to our hotel for dinner & overnight.

 

Day 3: Mt Nebo- Madaba-Petra

After breakfast we drive to Madaba to visit St George church” the home of a beautiful 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land”. Have Lunch then we will visit Mount Nebo where Moses viewed the Holy Land. Then we proceed to Petra “The rose, red City". Our visit begins at the Siq, a winding canyon road. At the end of the passage we will see Petra's most beautiful monument “the Treasury”. We will as well explore the temples, royal tombs, a theater and water channels. Back to our Hotel in Amman  for dinner & Overnight. 

 

Day 4: Cross King Hussein border - Sea of Galilee

After breakfast we cross King Hussein border and drive towards the Sea of Galilee. We will visit the Mount of Beatitudes by the Sea of Galilee overlooking the Jordan Valley. Then we will visit the church of Multiplication (Tabgha) and then Continue to the Primacy of Peter where Jesus commanded Peter to “Feed my sheep”.  Then we will proceed to Capernaum to see the remains of an early church, the ruins of Peter’s house, and the ancient synagogue. Back to the hotel for dinner & overnight.  

 

Day 5:  Nazareth- Cana- Mount Tabor-Boat ride

After breakfast we visit the Grand Basilica of the Annunciation and the St. Joseph's Church. Then visit Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle by turning water to wine at a wedding. Its modest church is a suitable place to reconfirm wedding vows. We will then drive to Mount Tabor, the Mount of the Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-8). From the top of the mountain there is a wonderful panoramic view which extends from Mt. Hermon in the north to the hills of Samaria in the south. We then enjoy a private boat ride on the sea of Galilee before going back to the hotel for dinner & overnight. 

 

Day 6 Stella Maris- Caesarea- Bethlehem

 Today we leave the sea of Galilee towards Mt. Carmel, Haifa to view the Bahai Gardens and visit Stella Maris where the prophet Elijah used to hide in a cave. Then we continue to Caesarea the city and harbor that was built by Herod the Great and the place where Peter baptized the Centurion Cornilios and his household. Proceed to Bethlehem for Dinner & overnight. 

 

Day 7:  Bethlehem-Shepherd’s field- Old City- Via Dolorosa- Holy Sepulchre- Judgment Hall- St. Anne- Pool of Bethesda

After breakfast we visit the birthplace of Jesus which is marked by the Basilica of the Nativity and kneel at the place of his birth in the Grotto of the Nativity. We will also visit the shepherd’s field where the Angel of the Lord proclaimed the good news of the birth of the Savior (Luke 2:8-18). Afterwards we proceed to the Old City of Jerusalem, visiting the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the man who had been crippled for 38 years (John 5:2-9), and the Church of St. Anne where there is an opportunity to sing a hymn before walking along the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross) from Pilate’s Judgment Hall to the empty tomb in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Free time in the Old City then back to our hotel for dinner & overnight. 

 

Day 8: Bethany- Jericho- Baptismal site- Dead Sea

 After breakfast we visit Bethany, the town where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. We then drive to visit the Qasr El-Yahud baptismal site on the River Jordan, which the Vatican recognizes as the authentic site of the baptism. There we renew our baptismal vows. We pass through Jericho, with a view on the Mount of Temptation, the place where Jesus spent 40 days and 40 nights in the desert. Then we drive to the Dead Sea, where we can float on the mineral-rich water. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Bethlehem. 

 

Day 9:  Mount of Olives- Gethsemane- Mount Zion- St. Peter in Gallicantu-Ein Karem  

We begin this day after breakfast, driving to the top of the Mount of Olives, for a majestic view over all of ancient and modern Jerusalem, the center of the biblical world. the Pater Noster Church and the Chapel of Dominus Flevit (Jesus wept) before walking down the “Palm Sunday Road” to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations (Basilica of the Agony) where Christ prayed on the night of His betrayal (Luke 22:40-46). Next, we drive to the Upper Room, and the Dormition Abbey on Mount Zion. After we will visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu (Palace of Caiaphas). Then proceed to Ein Karem to visit the Birth place of St John and the visitation of the Blessed Mother to Her cousin Elizabeth. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. 

 

Day 10: Cross to St. Catherine via Taba Border -St. Catherine

After breakfast we leave our hotel and transfer to Taba Border to cross to Egypt. Dinner & overnight at our hotel in St Catherine.

 

Day 11: St. Catherine- Cairo

Early morning, we have an option to climb to Mt. Sinai, where the Ten Commandments were given to Moses. Then we visit St. Catherine Monastery after breakfast and proceed to Cairo. Dinner & overnight in Cairo.

 

Day 12: Cairo- Return Home

After breakfast we visit the Egyptian Museum with all the Relics and statues. Then we Visit the Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx, we will also visit St. George Coptic Church and Citadel. Proceed to the airport to catch our flights back home.
